How much does camp cost?
For youth sessions we ask for a $25.00 registration fee. For all other sessions rates are determined by staffing needs and the amount of session days. For a complete list of session fees please go to the Enchanted Hills Camp link on this website.
How long does camp last?

Where is camp located?
Enchanted Hills Camp is located on Mt. Veeder, in Napa CA. The camp is 10 miles west of the town of Napa, and 60 miles north of San Francisco.
What type of sessions do you offer?
We offer Youth Sessions; Elementary, Middle School and High School; Family Camps, Military Veteran's, Adult with Special Needs, Adult Session and Deaf/Blind Session.
How do I qualify for camp?
Enchanted Hills Camp is for blind and visually impaired people of all ages. Generally, youth receiving specialized services in school or have eye conditions that will lead to specialized services qualify. Adults blind or visually impaired qualify whether or not they receive state or agency services.
What type of programs do you offer at camp?
EHC offers traditional camp programming such as swmimming, horseback riding, fishing, art, nature and recreational activities. We specialize in offering programming that is adapted to include full particiation in the above mentioned program areas. Our evening programs vary with each session but campfires, dances and talent shows are guaranteed offerings.
How do you train your staff?
EHC employs area specialists, general counselors, program supervisors, a Registered Nurse, full-time kitchen and maintainence staff. Generally our staff is composed of blind and visually impaired former campers, international students and people interested in entering the teaching or health care professions. Staff members undergo a one week training prior to campers arrivals and continued in-service trainings through-out the summer. Our criteria for working at EHC includes a livescan fingerprinting background check, two personal references and direct interview process.
How do I apply to work at EHC?
Interested persons wanting to work at EHC should contact the Camp Director beginning in January of the calendar year. Positions are extremely limited and the pay low but those chosen to work at camp will experience an unforgettable summer.
How do I apply to volunteer at EHC?
First contact the LightHouse Volunteer Coordinator for an application to volunteer at camp. Generally volunteers apply for one session to assist. The EHC Director will contact the potential volunteer for an interview and determine the volunteer needs for each session.
Do you offer a Counselor in Training Program?
The Counselor in Training Program (CIT) is designed for blind and visually impaired youth 16 to 18 years of age to receive training and placement with one of our sessions during the summer. CIT positions are unpaid and space is limited. For further information please contact Camp Director.
