After-School Tutorial
Subjects include Math, English, History, and Braille for youth ages 6 to 19. By appointement only.

Indoor Rock Climbing
This program engages youth ages 13 to 21 in physical and mental conditioning. Indoor rock climbing offers the opportunity for climbers to put their abilities to the test and enjoy themselves in a safe and fun environment. To participate, climbers must pass tryout and possess adequate maturity level.

Saturday Outing
This program, coordinated in conjunction with our community partner, Project Insight, has an alternating schedule between preteens and teens. The program aims to provide recreational and social opportunities for blind and visually impaired youth ages 6 to 19. Activities include visits to different venues throughout the SF Bay Area.

Youth Internship
Offers blind and visually impaired transition age youth (ages 16 - 21) opportunities to learn and work at the LightHouse as support staff in clerical, administrative, and retail positions. A commitment of a minimum of six hours per week for 16 weeks is expected. Applicants must possess basic skills in math, reading, writing, and computer/adaptive technology, and sufficient Orientation and Mobility skills. October 01, 2008 – January 30, 2009
