Vision Rehabilitation
LightHouse services empower people of all ages who are visually impaired to lead safe, active and independent lives.
LightHouse Vision Rehabilitation services consist of programs and activities designed to assist individuals adjusting to vision loss. Programs are offered in our San Francisco, San Rafael and Eureka offices.
Program offerings include Daily Living Skills training, Living with Vision Loss classes, a Low Vision Clinic and general case management. We serve both blind and deaf-blind clients. Our programs and activities are individualized to meet the varying needs of each client.
Individualized Program Plans Help Each Client Reach His or Her Goals
In 2007 alone, 209 unique clients participated in programs and services planned with goals set to meet the needs of each person. Of those 209, over 90% of our clients have reached their goals in both knowledge and practical application of the skills learned as part of their pathway to Vision Rehabilitation.
