Vision Loss Resource Center
Access to high quality information is key to understanding and living with vision loss.
The VLRC provides information to individuals experiencing vision loss, their family and friends, and professionals in the field. Our goal is to enable anyone living in Northern California to access high quality information, tools and resources related to blindness and visual impairment through a comprehensive information and referral system.
Whether you are just beginning to experience vision loss or you have been blind all your life, the VLRC can provide answers to your questions. Whether you are wondering where you can obtain services in your home area, what cell phones are accessible, or what kind of diabetic devices work well for people with low vision, the VLRC can help. Through our Resource Database, you can find many services available in Northern California. Our Materials Resource Center contains a library of literature that addresses many questions asked by individuals who are blind or visually impaired. We invite you to search these places for answers to your questions. You can also visit Adaptations – the LightHouse Store, which offers adaptive aids and devices to help with daily living.
